2006 Week 12 | Carolina Panthers 13 : Washington Redskins 17

Jason Campbell got his first win, showcasing his cool demeanor and helped by an inspired defense.

The game was close throughout, as Washington struggled to convert scoring opportunities but was able to frustrate Carolina's offense.

Field goals accounted for all of the scoring in the first half, with Carolina opening up a 6-3 lead just before halftime. The Redskins held Carolina on the first drive of the second half, then blocked their punt, setting up Campbell's third TD of the season to a kneeling Randle El.

The Panthers responded, driving 74 yards to re-take the lead at 13-10. Another Redskins breakdown looked imminent as Campbell threw a long interception on the first play following Carolina's kickoff. Washington's defense stiffened, forcing a punt. The Skins' young QB bounced back from his turnover, hitting Cooley perfectly in stride across the middle, allowing the tight end to turn upfield for a 66 yard TD. Sean Taylor picked off a Delhomme pass to end the Panthers' final threat, ending the game with a 17-13 Washington victory.
