The Skins went through another wild shootout, this time coming out on top in a thrilling back-and-forth game. There were six lead changes and almost 1000 yards of offense. Joe Washington took most of the RB load for Washington, and scored twice on TD runs. The Redskins kicked the winning FG with less than a minute left and then had to hold off a furious Detroit drive that ended with time running out with the ball deep in Washington territory.
