The Redskins came out on top in an overtime game, beating a division opponent and again winning in dramatic fasion. Washington trailed for much of the game, but was able to gain the lead in the fourth quarter, only to see the Giants answer and take the lead themselves with little time left. Their ensuing kickoff was short, and the Skins were able to move into position for a long tying FG. Special teams came through again in OT with a long punt return, allowing the offense to get into Giants territory for the winning FG.
