Although the score ended up looking very lopsided, the Redskins displayed some solid play for most of this game. The Skins only trailed by one point early in the fourth quarter, but a surge of defensive plays allowed the Eagles to pull away to win by a big margin. Philadelphia sacked Theismann for a safety and returned a fumble for a TD to pad the final point total.
