The Redskins were in a position to win their second straight against a playoff-caliber team, but a late FG put the Dolphins on top. Washington's offense continued to mature, committing fewer turnovers and moving the ball on the ground with Riggins. Unfortuately, the Skins could not move deep enough into Miami territory to answer the fourth quarter FG and came up short at the end.
