1983 NFC Divisional Playoff | Washington Redskins 51 : Los Angeles Rams 7
The Redskins opened the playoff run for a title defense in dominating fashion. Continuing a pattern they had established during the regular season, Washington jumped to an early lead and never allowed the Rams back into the game. The Skins' offense drove the field at will in the first half, leading to a 17-0 first quarter lead and an almost unbelievable 38-7 halftime margin.
There wasn't much drama to the second half, but there was some excitement as Darrell Green picked off a bobbled pass to Eric Dickerson and scampered 72 yards for a TD to net the final 51-7 score. It was the largest margin of victory ever by any Redskins team.
