1983 Week 12 | Washington Redskins 42 : Los Angeles Rams 20
The Rams self-destructed before halftime, leading to another Redskins rout as Washington firmly established itself as one of the dominant teams of 1983. The Skins led only 10-6 early in the second quarter, but the Rams gave up the ball via interception, which led to a Redskins TD. Rams QB Ferragamo was then called for grounding while in the end zone, netting Washington a safety. The Skins scored quickly again after the Rams free kick, and continued to pile up points in the third quarter. The scoreboard showed 39-6 before LA scored again, and a couple of late TDs made the score even closer than it could have been. Dynamic Rams RB Eric Dickerson was completely taken out of the game by the Washington lead.
