1985 Week 14 | Washington Redskins 17 : Philadelphia Eagles 12
Still nursing a winning record at 7-6, Washington came into this game knowing they could not afford another loss if they wanted any hope of a playoff spot. The team responded, although it was an ugly affair early in the contest.
Philadelphia opened up a 5-3 halftime lead courtesy of a safety when Schroeder was called for intentional grounding in the Washington end zone. The Eagles' lead grew to 12-3 in the third quarter, but Washington's offense got into gear late in the game. George Rogers scored on a TD run to pull the Skins within two, and Schroeder threw to Clark for the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter.
