1986 Week 2 | Washington Redskins 10 : Los Angeles Raiders 6
Although three years removed from Super Bowl 18, many Redskins fans looked forward to this game to exact some small revenge on the Raiders. This contest would not be like 1983's two high-scoring games.
Neither team could manage more than field goals in the first three quarters, with Los Angeles clinging to a 6-3 lead opening the fourth. The only offensive breakout came on a long pass from Schroeder to Didier, setting Washington up deep in Raiders territory. George Rogers scored the go-ahead TD from there, and the game would end with the Skins holding on to a 10-6 lead.
