The Skins faced a strong AFC West team for the third week in a row. Both teams scored on TD runs in the first quarter, but Seattle held a one-point lead courtesy of a missed Moseley extra point.
Washington took the lead late in the second quarter in the same way they had against the Raiders two weeks ago - a long FG by Steve Cox. This kick went for 57 yards, two more than his long boot earlier in the season.
The Redskins pulled away in the second half on a George Rogers TD run and another Moseley FG. Seattle scored a late TD but did not have enough for a comeback, and the game ended 19-14.
