1986 Week 7 | Washington Redskins 28 : St. Louis Cardinals 21
The Redskins rebounded from their loss to Dallas with another strong offensive performance. Washington opened up a 21-0 halftime lead behind two Schroeder TD passes and a George Rogers run.
St Louis did not let the second half unfold quietly, though. They scored once in the third quarter, but the Skins were able to answer with another Schroeder-to-Clark TD, keeping a 21 point lead. That would prove to be just enough, as the Cardinals continued their furious comeback with two fourth quarter TDs, and time expired before they could complete another drive to tie the game.
