1987 Week 10 | Washington Redskins 26 : Los Angeles Rams 30

Hoping for some offensive consistency in Williams' first start, the Redskins' efforts were undone by turnovers and special teams gaffes in a wild Monday Night game.

Both teams mounted multiple scoring drives in the first quarter, with the period ending with LA leading 14-9. Monk caught a TD pass from Williams, but Ali Haji-Sheikh missed the extra point. Both of the Rams' scores were courtesy of Redskin mistakes - a fumble return and a kickoff return for TDs.

In the second quarter the flurry of scores continued, but the Rams missed an extra point of their own, and a late Doug Williams TD run brought the Skins with 7 at 23-16.

The Skins made a comeback attempt in the second half, scoring 10 more points. But they could not keep the Rams out of the end zone and the game ended with LA clinging to a 30-26 lead.
