1987 Week 11 | Washington Redskins 23 : New York Giants 19
Jay Schroeder returned to the lineup as the Redskins faced their nemesis from the previous year.
It looked like a repeat of 1986 in the first half as the Giants pulled out to 16-0 lead by halftime. Washington responded in the third quarter, led by a Gary Clark TD catch, but still trailed 19-9 beginning the fourth quarter.
The Skins shut down the Giants offense in the fourth, and finally did some scoring of their own adding two Schroeder TD passes to narrow the lead and then pull ahead for the game-winning score.
