1987 Week 6 | Washington Redskins 17 : New York Jets 16
The Redskins starters, returning from the strike, had to shake off some rust to defeat the Jets. Washington held a 7-3 lead at halftime courtesy of a Schroeder-Clark TD pass. New York's offense came to life in the third quarter. They added two field goals and a touchdown, pulling to a 16-7 lead early in the fourth. Schroeder led the Skins back on two scoring drives, first a TD to Kelvin Bryant, then a Haji-Sheikh FG with under a minute left in the game.
