The Redskins used a strong running game to take the ball away from Jim Kelly and the Buffalo offense. Kelvin Bryant and George Rogers kept the ball moving up and down the field, and Schroeder finished the drives with two TD passes and a run of his own. Washington led 17-0 at halftime, added 10 more points in the third quarter, and only allowed a meaningless fourth quarter TD that prevented them from posting a shutout.
