Mark Rypien continued to impress as Washington overwhelmed the Cardinals.
Phoenix struck first with a TD pass, but gave up a safety on their next possession. The Redskins capitalized on the momentum and field position change, and unleashed an offensive barrage. Rypien threw two TDs to Monk and one to Clark before halftime, leading to a 23-10 lead.
Clark added another long TD catch in the third to ice the game. The Cardinals scored only a late TD to make the score respectable.
