1989 Week 8 | Washington Redskins 24 : Los Angeles Raiders 37

The Raiders took the Redskins apart for most of this game, which was a low point in Mark Rypien's early career.

Rypien was responsible for seven turnovers in total, leading to a series of easy Los Angeles scores. The game was still in reach at halftime, with Washington trailing 17-10. The Skins only TD came courtesy of a long kickoff return.

The Raiders pulled away for good in the third quarter scoring 20 more unanswered points, including a long return of one of Rypien's interceptions. Rypien and backup QB Stan Humphries added late TD throws, but the scores were not nearly enough to mount a serious rally.
