The Redskins needed scores in just about every way possible to come away with a win against New England.
A fumble return and a safety led to a 9-0 lead in the first quarter. The offense added 10 points before halftime, pulling Washington out to 19-0.
New England responded in the third and fourth, scoring 10 points of their own. But the Skins ended the threat by adding two fourth quarter FGs, leading to the 25-10 final.
