Washington got back to winning, dominating the Cardinals for the second time in four weeks.
This time, the Redskins got off to a slow start, and Phoenix held a 10-7 halftime lead. Gerald Riggs provided the only first half points for Washington.
But Stan Humphries settled in during the second half, throwing two TD passes to Gary Clark and running the ball in for an additional score. Byner added another fourth quarter TD, and Washington moved to 3-1.
