1990 Week 6 | Washington Redskins 20 : New York Giants 24
Parcells and the Giants continued to prove to be Gibbs' greatest nemesis.
The Skins kept the game close into the third quarter, trailing only 7-6 early in that period. The teams traded touchdowns, including a pass from Byner to Ricky Sanders on a trick play, to keep the one point margin at 14-13.
Once again, the teams swapped scores entering the fourth quarter, with Washington answering a Giants TD with a drive for a Riggs run. But at 21-20 New York added another field goal, and they were able to hold off any more Redskins scoring attempts to pull out the win.
