Key Offseason Dates

Now that we're into the long, cold offseason, here are some of the key dates that will play into upcoming developments:

  • February 23: Deadline for applying franchise tag to players. The franchise tag means that the player is not eligible for free-agency, but the team is obligated to pay them a one-year contract in a set range for their position.

    Super Bowl XL Review

    Both QB's threw up head-scratchers on critical drives, neither team could drum up a sustained running game, and both coaches looked bemused by their teams' execution. We're not talking about a preseason exhibition, that's the way Super Bowl XL looked.
